and who now reside with You in the Eternal Land.
With this candle I remember Fluffy.
With this candle I remember Barny.
With this candle I remember Trouble.
With this candle I remember Adam.

Love this. It’s funny because just yesterday, I did rite to Bast and I’m still wearing Her pendant. The great thing about doing rite to Bast is that I feel I can pet any cats who wander by me while I’m kneeling in front of my altar – I can’t imagine Her getting mad at that. :) Yesterday it was our youngest and newest addition, Missy. Maybe that was her way of participating.
Of course She wouldn’t mind that. ;) My kitty visits from time to time while I do my devotions (of course, the altar is right next to his favorite chair so he’s usually there anyway). When I first started he’d come around and put his pawns on me, like he was saying “what are you doing? Why are you on the floor?” but now he usually just ignores me.
